Hey guys. Started working in a shop that uses debeers 500 paint. Lately I’ve been having troubles with mottle in my metallic blends. Full panels are fine. I spray a wet coat then reduce pressure and do a drop coat and lays down fine, but when I do my blends I’m finding it mottles. Anyone have an advice to stop this happening?
Oh I do put down a clear ground first but still sits up.
Thanks for any advice or tips and tricksMarch 2, 2014 at 5:50 pm #46014When are you doing your drop coat? Debeer likes the drop coat done right before your base flashes. Dont let it dry first like most bases.

I seems really weird at first but after a while it becomes simple. When done correctly this will eliminate the dry edge.
