is that a Focass bumper :pcorn:Yes Focus 2005. Use 2K Nason Primer and Valpar 333 Basecoat and MS200 Clearcoat
Did you put hardener in the base?
Did you tell about HPC2?
What the hell is “HPC2”?
Anyway, nope, i don’t use hardener.
Its a very good idea when you do a front bumper.

yes it is…. but dont kick yourself over it. it’s only a focus :lol1 :lol1 :lol1
the hardener will help with the paint durablilty especially on the bumper which takes most of the abuseI wouldn’t worry about the hardener in the base. I would consider the Nason primer the weak point of the system…not exactly the best for adhesion on plastic or flexability.
Nonetheless, it looks like a good job and I am sure it will last a good while.
Ok then, what would be the best solution for my next job like?
Ha-Ha-Ha,,,trust me, Im not gonna kick my self over somebody elses bumper job.

It will become a little irrelevant with the introduction of waterbase basecoats.
Unless some of the companies are introducing special hardeners for their basecoats.

I’m sure you can find some if you look hard enough. Its not a new process. It was discovered by a NASCAR team a log time ago…………
