I posted a thread about 2 weeks ago, seems to have dissapeared for some reason..

Any way for those that remember and was helping ( my constant fisheye problems) basically went out and brought some spray gun filters like 1 of you said..

i have fitted 1 to both my devilbiss gti pros and sprayed a car today.. i can see water in them when i am painting, not filling all the way up but quite a bit of water entering these.

does this seem a bit extreme? should water be coming all this way up to guns etc.. could this be my problem with contamination etc? i have 2 big wall mounted filters after the compressor then airline to these on gun etc..

    any help be great..

    thanks 😉

yup … no water should be getting past the filter driers unless they are full 😉

in humid conditions a compressor will take on alot of water pretty fast when they are running alot :pcorn:

i think your first one is too close to the tank. the air hasn’t had to redo it’s thing.

What are you using for air line from the compressor to the filters?

We had this problem before in a shop I worked at. Our remedy was an air dryer, along with our filters, and an automatis bleeder on the compressor. worked wonders on our moisture problem. And that much moisture all the way to your filter is not normal in my experiences.

move the filters down to the end of the hardline.
put fall away from the filters and tee in 2 or 3 traps in the hardline.
    might want to add this…
I have this stand alone with a gun filter….very humid here and never get fisheyes. :woohoo:

order over 100 bucks and get free shipping.. :exci :exci :exci

I have new lines in my shop, and the single thing that made the biggest difference was making the line right out of the compressor go up 8′ in the air. My big water trap is right there, and after the compressor runs a couple days I still hardly get a drop out of the filter.
