I’m looking at the tech sheets for this and it doesn’t say what bare metal needs to be sanded to. Anyone know? Also has anyone used this and is it any good?

i have just read it and it doese say the bare metal has to be sanded ,sugest you take another gander at it

    SUBSTRATES:
    OEM replacement parts
    Properly sanded or blasted steel
Properly cleaned or sanded aluminum, galvanized steel, or stainless steel
    Properly sanded SMC/fiberglass/body fillers/polyester putties

I know it has be be sanded but it doesn’t say what grit to sand with. All it says is “properly sanded” which is rather vague. That was my question. I sanded it all the way with 80 grit on my buffer/sander and went back over with 180 on my DA. One of their other epoxy’s said 80 then 180 so that’s what I did.

sorry my bad lol ,i would always suggest the roughest grit possible that the product will cover usualy on steel i would use 80 grit but even 180 should be good enough for a physical key

I prep bare metal with 80, and feather edges with 180
