just moved to a shop and i’m spraying nason’s clear(465-00)85 hardner and using dupont 95 reducer.booth on 85.hazing up and i need some advice.
You are useing the wrong reducer acording to the dupont web sight it say’s to use 20% Ful base 441-21 or 441-22 reducer. Some time different reducer cause trouble even with the same parent company. I have seen this happen before but if you color sanded and waited until the next day and buffed it out the haze was gone. I have seen this happen also when the fans were turned off before the solvent evaporeted and it settled on the top panel (hood roof deck lid)
Just my 2 cent worth
davidj1950We have been spraying this clear for a few years now & it is a really good clear. Great gloss and durability, easy to buff. We spray around 75 degrees F & have found that a combo of 75% mid temp and 25% high temp activator works well. And even though it says 20% reducer we go 25% because this clear is so thick. Try it out, works great for us. Only thing I have noticed is that if the clear is buffed the same day as being painted- then put out in the hot sun, some of the sand marks can reappear.
