need help with gun

Hi im new to the forum its really great. im having trouble setting my gun up its a hvlp sharpe finex 1.4 tip i just did a spray test on some masking paper and its putting more material on the upper part of the fan pattern how do i get a nice and even pattern? its currently set up 40 psi i set the fluid knob all the way out held trigger turned in till the trigger moved out a bit and my fan is set pretty wide.if anyone can help im a noob and i want to get it right before i paint my car thanks.
Did you try breaking down the gun and cleaning it? fluid tip or air cap may be dirty
try turning down the air pressure some 😉
have ya tried turning the aircap upside down ta see if it changes ta bottom heavy yet?? sounds like ya got some buildup where ya shouldnt 😉
i think this gun should be running at around 30psi
