New Amateur Painter

Hello everyone, let me start by saying that I like to try things myself. If I have an interest in something (painting my own car) I like to tackle it whole heartily. My first attempt, came out like a orange on steroids. I am an amateur. So I am going to do it again. I am attempting to spray Finish One Black pearl paint. Any tips that anyone can contribute will be much appreciated.
Dont pee in the wind lol. just kidding. Try reading as much as possible about the subject(this website is good) and follow the technical data sheet(TDS) for which product you are using. BTW welcome to the site.
