im not sure dude I think it depends on what tinters are in the formula some you can blend with your eyes closed and others are a nightmare to get rid of the halo and mottle I think the more lentingulars thet are in them the harder they are, but ive been told that hvlp are the best to use for bc what do you think? also how are your colours straight off the scales for match? ours are like one in 20 are good the othe 19 you gotta tint can send you crazy somedays haahahha. but apart form that i love deltron the prima primer is good and love D800 clear.

    Hi Matthew,

Welcome to the site.My BASF line is awesome for color match. I very rarely need to tint any color ever! We have a variant decks and 99.9% of the time we find a variant that is blendable or we can just spray a bumper and match the factory slight off color look. I sprayed Deltron a little bit and it was a much tougher system to work with. Most of our business was Honda’s and I’d say it was around a 75% no tint necessary for us. The 2K primer we used was K36 and i really like it. The clear I think was from the global system…dont recall the numbers.

K36 was nice to sand, and looked good when it left.. But in 6 months that stuff would really shrink.. I sprayed PPG for 4 years and never did really care for it.. Better products out there..BASF Diamont is probably the best solvent system around.. Dont think you will find any thing better. Now water on the other hand, I was really disappointed in the BASF system.. Needless to say we switched…

yeah deltron also has fan decks but there never anything like what you mix up so there usually complete rubbish, one product i really like is K93 tintable surfacer it goes on nice and is great for priming and edging out new panels such as doors and guards in one hit wet on wet.
