yea i thought it was because i put the base on too wet and then didnt let it flash..the temp in the booth was set to 78.. mayb it had to do with many things i was doing. like i said it was my first time spraying this system. Tomorrow there will be more time for me to work with it. I will use the tips everyone has said.. medium coats and let the base flash. too much material could have been an issue why it lifted.

April 26, 2011 at 4:43 am #30504Yeah 1.4 is what ya want, Iwata LPH400 with a LV cap, LVX maybe, atomizes metallic a little better (almost preference)I would recommend, I like the Iwatas over the satas just bc of the lower pressure used to spray. Your only at 16 at the inlet. Where are you ? What’s your weather ? Regardless ur50 is golden unless its real hot where you are, medium wet coats. Flash shouldn’t be more than 3-5 minutes, unless like u said u were just applying to much product. You said mid coat, was your first color a tri coat ?
Havent been up to date because of the new job. Staying late to catch up with the new pace of the shop and get the rhythm. I can say four days into the job and say the Diamont isnt bad at all, very easy to shoot once you get the pace of it. I had no issues with it at all, the color matching is way better than Dupont, just a different steps.. still using the 1.3 sata but will change it once i get really comfortable with everything.
