    Hi all.

My workplace are looking to change our full face air fed masks and they are more or less leaving the choice up to me, although budget does come into it a bit. Personally I’d prefer an air fed half mask but they won’t allow it 🙁

We’re currently using Wilson masks which are a copy of a low line Devilbiss. I’ve never really liked it so am looking for a change. I’ve used a Sata vision 2000 in the past and that was a much better mask in my opinion (less claustrophobic feeling, better vision, generally easier to put on/take off, more comfortable). My boss is happy to go for the sata if I insist, but one of our other branches has just equipped their guys with Iwata masks, which are about 30% cheaper. I’ve never used the Iwata one so have no idea what it’d be like.

So really I’m wondering if anyone has used both, and which did you prefer and why? Like I said, they’ll pay the extra if needed but would prefer to keep costs down if they can. Unfortunately it’s not really something you can demo, since our health & safety laws prohibit mask sharing, so we’d have to buy one first and see how it goes which isn’t really an option.

    Thanks,
    Andy.

I have been using the Sata vision 2000 for 10 years. No complaints whatsoever. Devilbiss has a pro mask which is much nicer than the orange air visor they have been selling for years. The Iwata mask is not comfortable and parts seem to break constantly. and its claustrophobic as hell. I’m in the US and not a lot was offered here so when i tried the Iwata i bought it from the Uk. http://www.spraygunsdirect.co.uk/product.php?currency=USD&tid=99&products_id=6778 is the devilbiss pro
http://www.spraygunsdirect.co.uk/product.php?currency=USD&products_id=4605&brand=IWATA is the iwata. I would strongly recommend the Sata

I’ve just bought the devilbiss pro 600 listed above and am extremely happy with it. Very comfortable, great vision with it and very well priced on spraygunsdirect.co.uk. I’m in Ireland and got the mask and an extra 20 peel of visors to my door for 170 euro cheaper from spraygunsdirect.co.uk than anyone in Ireland could do it for. A no brainer in my opinion.

    Thanks guys.

I’m waiting to have a look at the new Devilbiss pro one before deciding, but we’ve been sent an Iwata one to try out. I can’t even get the spray hose to stay attached to the belt! Keeps popping off which isn’t exactly helpful :deadhorse
