Hows it going everyone? My name’s Ryan and I was lurking around on here tonight and thought I would join. I liked everything I was reading. I’m 19 year old car guru and new to the refinishing world willing to learn. I got put into my Collision Repair & Automotive Paint/Body class because Auto Tech was full. I didn’t want to do it but after being in the shop and learning hands on I love it. I started back in August and I’m in class Monday-Thursday. I plan on starting off as a hobby and possibly moving to a career.
I do have a few friends that I will be soon helping them paint their cars. We have a PPG center here in town and having the student discount helps a lot. I plan on learning a lot from this site and from what I’ve read you guys know what you’re doing. Anyways thats a little intro for you guys. I’ve got plenty of questions!

Nexson I was actually just looking at your thread of your garage. All i have to say is that I wish my garage was at least half that clean. Half of it is full of car parts, engine stands, hoist, engine blocks, and miscellaneous stuff. the other half boxes of my mom and sisters stuff! lol

Ive got a short list of mods done so far…
fox lake stage 2 heads
hitech stage 2 cams
eibach sportline springs
edelbrock shocks
upr o/r x pipe
bassani SS after cat
steeda tri ax shifter… few more things too..I ran her at the track about 10 times last year on my crappy street tires and managed a sad 13.80 @ 104 and i believe a 2.17 60′
the stock gear is really killing me as well as no traction. hope to improve this year.March 13, 2010 at 11:34 pm #20059HCC/WCC- yeah i have no idea where it will take me as well. I love working on cars and felt thats what I wanted to do, but after painting them Ive wanted to get into something different.
Jomull- whats your name? yes the 306 is NA so far. I need to get a tune on it and then later a nitrous tune. you can definitely get those times down with better tires. You have a nice combo so far its just tweeking it. We only have a 1000ft track here in arkansas thats close by and I could only get mine to a 10.70@99 with a consistant 2.08 60ft. I need slicks
