I love Spies paint. It is one of the top brands out there. Which clear are you spraying? Are you on water or solvent?
March 25, 2010 at 3:42 pm #20377They don’t have a huge market share but none of the high end European lines do. Most shops use PPG and Dupont over here. They have the majority of the market.
I was using the 8035 and 8600 clear. 8600 was 3 to 1 with VHS hardeners and 8035 was 2 to 1.
I’m guessing your an Iwata guy. You using W-400’s?
Yea i sort of thought that dont really here much about spies in the us..
Been using that 8045 clear for a while you can have it two ways 3 to 1 with VHS hardner or MS 8033 2 to 1.
You guys use that spectro flex tintable primer wet on wet??
Yes i love the iwata’s got a WB400 WBX 1.3 set up with gold cap for base and
a WB400 1.3 setup with blue cap number 2 if that makes any sense??? might be slightly diffrent guns compared to us market??.March 26, 2010 at 3:13 pm #20402The W-400 WB2 aircap is the same as our W-400lv. Nice spraying clear gun. Our version of the WBX is an orange cap called a LVX.
Yes we have the Spectro here as well.
Sounds like you are setup right!
March 28, 2010 at 4:25 pm #20435I have sprayed it once. I liked it. I used Dupont Cromax Pro for awhile and I currently spray Sikkens Autowave.
Coverage on Spies is great.
Pic of my guns. WBX on left they look diffrent compared to the guns over in the us.
