Hi everyone.
Tonight I sanded most of the rock chips on my bumper. Through different parts of the bumper:
primer, bare plastic, basecoat, etc are exposed.
Tomorrow I plan to clean the whole bumper and spray adhesion promoter, followed by 2K primer. Is it OK to spray adhesion promoter over primer or sanded finish (for example, basecoat exposed?)
I’ll be using R-M AP.
Thanks.
August 22, 2010 at 9:38 am #24157I’m not familiar with R-MAP, but I’ve never had a problem spraying adpro over exosed PPE (and the surrounding rub through area). Both PPG D820 adpro and K&H 1k adpro (compatible with 2k).
The thing to know is to spray a light coat and adhere to the recommended flash off time. Don’t hose it on.

Yes its OK,,,and like P/W said,,,dont hose it on, and wait about 30 min before you spray your 2K primer over it.
