Its a little slow at work right now. Here is a truck I did last fall for our supplier. One of the drivers put the truck in the ditch and it just so happened to be time to decommission it. The red on the hood/fenders is painted, the rest are all decals. The front end got an aftermarket hood and bumper. The cost of a new boxside was out of the question and we could not find a good used one either, but I did find a box side that was damaged at the opposite end…

Wound up painting the box side, hood and both fenders. Turned out really well and the colour match was amazing!

I sealed it with Duponts DTM epoxy primer/sealer and painted it with Chromapremiere and 72200 clear. I did prime it there; however, when I painted it I used the booth. This was when I worked at a small (not so great) shop last fall/winter after I was laid off…

I’ve never needed to splice a box side before. As mentioned, the only reason I did it is because the cost of the OEM boxside was too much, and a long bed version was not available aftermarket. I also could not find a good used one all the used ones were damaged. The used one I got was pooched pretty hard at the back…almost right up to where I spliced it. Sure got a good price buying a damaged box side from the wrecker though!

Does Napa sell Dupont up there? Around here they only sell Martan Senior.

Yep. All across Canada Napa (CMAX is their autobody division) supplies Dupont products including Spies Heckler. I don’t think you can buy Martan Senior here anymore.
