Shooting Nexxa Autocolor. Need a sealer gun. Thinking the Iwata LPH 440, or the SATA 100 B F. Anybody use these guns or perhaps anything else?

I am also shooting Nexa Autocolor, the sealers are great and lay flat by nature, I use a 1.3 in a Devilbiss tekna. Always remember that sealer likes to be sprayed like clear so a good clear gun will work fine too. Ex. SATA,Iwata, Sagola. :weights

I also use a tekna for sealer with sikkens colorbuild 250,pretty good gun for the money.I also have a real old satajet 90 that I use once in awhile also.I can’t believe you suggested a sagola 😡

I spray SW P27 sealer, with a Tekna (7e7 air cap, 1.3tip). Works very well. There are a good number of Tekna users on this site. For the performance and price, they are hard to beat.

I would go bigger. 1.4 . I use a nr2000 1.4. The teknas dont put out enough material. If ur panel painting they are prob fine. But if u want a gun thats good for everything completes ect buy a 1.4. Sata bf100 1, 4 is nice as well. When it comes to a six foot wide chevy hoo d u will be glad u have a 1, 4!

For some products indeed, but you need to match the tip size to the product.

Kinda uncalled for there. the guy is using nexa not deltron. Smooth uses nexa as well and suggested a tekna 1.3. Not sure if you’ve seen Bens work, but he paint pretty good too.

Sorry there KK. it’s the implication that you made that Ben would only post to receive a thank you, and the thought that he is only a bodyman so he doesnt have any right to give suggestions on paint guns.
And honestly, if you spent thousands on paint guns that someone suggested, without first demoing them to see if they would work properly for you, thats pretty dumb.

Ding. Ya ill admit that pretty dumb. Just tryng to help other guys not make the same mistake.

And ding if u want to go off what the person is using reflect on the dbc post. Ben is tellin him how to do it with what he uses. Dbc500 will never change the color in the slightest bit. So again…. instead of one uping a reply.. just tey giving liget info to start with

I’m not sure what your problem is with me Kansaskid, but I certainly wasn’t trying to contradict what you wrote. I posted what is working for me. What works best for someone spraying one product may not be the best for someone else with another product.

I have previously used a 2000 RP with a 1.4 to spray a different brand of sealer and it worked well. What I do suggest is to consult the tech sheets for the recommended tip size as a starting point. If I sprayed my SW sealer with a 1.4, I would be asking for trouble (even on a complete). .

you’re right. dbc500 wont change the color of a panel. however applying dbc edge to edge on a blend panel will require you to apply 2 coats of clear on the full panel. and in the case of some light colors (mostly lighter metallics) those extra coats of clear can darken the color compared to the adjacent non painted panel. Many manufacturers suggest stopping your wet bed just beyond your blend area for this reason.
