I Just ordered a Devilbliss copper Tekna and CVi kit. I have sprayed with the Tekna and love it for metalic water basecoats. I would love to hear your feedback on the CVi

no its not that bad,its just the pro lite seem to lay the clear and base down better.I also had a sata 4000 rp,great base gun but didnt like it for clear. The pro lite replaced it :clappy

I have the Sata hvlp 1.4 and thats what I have been clearing with. We use Lesonal and I think that a 1.3 would better suit my style. I am still waiting on my Cvi and Tekna and both of them have 1.2 , 1.3 and 1.4 setups. I can’t wait to try these bad boys out.

The CVI is really not that great of a gun at all,it has a narrow pattern and pretty slow. The tekna is a pretty good gun that is very versatile,I would suggest the 1.4 with lesonal base or clear. The tekna has a nice wide pattern and puts out an adequate amount of material, also sprays metallics/pearls very well. For solvent base I would suggest 22-25psi with wide open settings, clear 25-28psi with wide open setings. The tekna with the 7e7 compliant cap isn’t the best gun for clear but it can definately hold its own,HTH
