I am a hobbyist doing a home restoration on a 68C10 and would like some ideas on paint:
Is anyone here using Southern Polyurethanes primers and clear? Should I just stick to what is available locally – PPG, Dupont or Sherwin Williams? Is Kirker paint any count?
    Thanks

Ok thanks for all the info. I guess just steer clear of the SPI and Kirker. If no one on this site has any info than those products must be bottom barrel.

From what I know Kirker is more like truck paint.

As for SPI, they appear to have a “cult” type following. You might want to google SPI forum, the owner of the company supports his own forum there.

So the question remains…is SPI or Kirker any good? Would you use it??

Well to tell you the truth i havent tryed the SPI clear but it is on my list of products to try in the future because i have heard great things about it from some people. As for the Kirker, i havent tryed it either but i would suggest leaving it alone because its a low end product and the reviews i have read about were all saying it was crap.
