Alright chaps, i am a bit off a tool addict, i saw this plastic repair system.

I liked the look of it and bought it.

This is a great idea very easy to use and no need to master plastic welding.

You will just have to take my word how strong the repair is.

It is very strong repair we struggled to break the joint, really is a handy gadget.

After staple repair you can still V your joint and fill with proffered plastic filler, no need to do anything on the back side as i say it is a very strong repair, much much stronger than any bonding of splits i have ever seen, and stronger than a plastic weld.

Great for repairing headlight lugs as well

thats really neat. the mirror cover is rigid, how does it perform on flexible plastics?

    Hi Ryan

It really works well i cant believe how strong the repaired area is.

In USD it would cost $468.00, that money could be made back pretty quick, you would not have any fear of repair failure.

Very well it just flexs all the more.

I did a bumper and a destroyed headlamp last week at it worked great.

    Definately a neat looking tool.

I haven’t had a bonded plastic repair fail, however.

coarse as soon as I seen this the wheels were turning … I’ve done similar with a torch heating pieces of wire and laying them in … but today I took a stud in the stud gun , bent the stud around so it grounded the collar and presto , a melting rebar/staple. :pcorn:

Little update, bought myself a damaged Mitsubishi pick up, both headlights have broken brackets.

These lights are expensive and second hand ones are like hens teeth to find

so out comes the staple system.

These could have been bonded i suppose but there is never that big an area to apply bond when repairing headlight lugs

Sorry should have taken a pic of the staples ground down forgot

Lol i look like i almost have girls nails, must cut them
