    Sup Everyone,

We’re set on a PPG Deltron system at the shop and I recently just got into the blending system my jobber recommended me. However, there are no instructions and I have no idea what ratio or spray procedure I should follow. If anyone has the same or similar setup please enlighten me how I should use this.

    This is what I got:

    PPG DBC500 Base blend
    PPG DX840 Universal Blending Solvent

Please let me know how to mix it and/or when to mix it as well as the ratio and spray procedure. As for the rest, I’ll learn as I go on.

    Thanks a bunch guys

the dbc5oo is mixed 1:1 with what ever temp. reducer you use. it’s basically a clear basecoat. so you spray it like base. put it on as the first coat, it helps keep mets. from standing up in the scratches. you can also use it on pearls too. we sometimes us it as a cut clear on the underside of hoods and fenders.

840 is a blender for melting in fresh clear. when i’m ready to blend clear, i leave some clear in the gun, ad some 840, like a 1:1 ratio, and stir it up, and melt in the clear, and then dump that out. and pour some straight 840 in, pull the trigger get some to come out, and blow some over the melted clear i just did, overlaping some. you’ll have to play with it some.
