I have looked into the primers you are talking about, Rep said he was going to get me some to try, he also told me they weren’t as fast a the solvent primers in PPG’s water line, which is 12 minutes with a heat lamp. I know you have to put the blowers on it to dry and Yes as weird as it seems it is a DTM waterborne primer.
May 9, 2013 at 3:21 am #43135My rep wanted to put some in, i said no after painter123 told me the same thing as paintman said. Plus my guys would totally screw it up, hell they”re barely have paitiance to let it sit for 3 mins before the next coat.
We’ve been using the aquabase primer ( which I think is the same) on everything for two months now and I think it works pretty good.
It does ball up on the paper a little when dry blocking, so one of my helpers likes it and two dont . One thing I really like is that it doesn’t shrink up. I think that’s because you can’t abuse it without it mud cracking, so it forces them to let flash off.- AuthorPosts
