    I will be painting a vehicle Purple but have not found anything great looking in our colour decks. Anyone know of a nice dark metallic purple that isn’t gay? I will be spraying in Sherwin Williams…

    Where on the value scale in comparison to Plum Crazy? How about hue, more red or blue preferred? Bikes have a good selection of violets, some dark, but not sure how well they cross to SW.

    How about looking in the sikkens colormap book?I for get the code but the new plum crazy that came out on the new challengers looks pretty good but maybe thats too light.
    I did an old caprice wa9802 hawaian orchid that is a nice dark purple.

    I was thinking of visiting the old shop and looking at the colormap if I need to. I think the plum crazy will be a little too light. I like the looks of WA9802, Jayson, it is nice and dark, but may be a little too red. I know I sprayed a few purples in Sikkens, I should dig out my old spray out cards. I did an ’83 Trans Am a while back, but it wasn’t a factory colour…

    Do you guys think darker and bluer than the Plum crazy is the right way to go for that body?

    I think a darker purple would look nice on that car. will you just be spraying it or prep as well? Be sure to post pics 😉
