I always sanded and buffed a car the next day after paint.A friend, who owns his own shop, told me if you want a show car finish,to let it sit for 30 days or so and let the paint completely cure and then sand and buff.Any thoughts???

All depends what kind and brand of clear u put on it.. some buff better after a few days and some are hard to buff the next day and some don’t buff at all..

it depends on what type of clear you use. like the speed of the drying times, and your setup. all clears have window that you can buff with great results.

Most all urethane systems I have applied have been buffed between 16 and 72 hours…after that they can be a big fat booger. I have sprayed top and bottom shelf stuff. Follow the directions.

after baking a car sometimes id shock it with cold water, cut it open and let it breth overnight then buff it the next day. This worked great for me and it was every bit as good as a show finish. But I do only cut and buff when I have to, I know in restoration its the other way around.
