I’ve got a 3000rp with a 1.3 and have never sprayed a high solids clear with it. Has anyone sprayed the RM DC5335, Spies 8035 or Dupont 72500S with this setup?
Yep, 72500. With a 1.3 it is pretty happy.

to the best of my knowledge there is a bushing in the HVLP air passage ,it may be possible to remove this and if so it may allow the gun to be used with an RP set up
How you doing fellas,

Just a quick question, can I swap the air cap and nozzle in an rp for a hvlp set to convert the gun?

    Cheers
Interesting to see that some of you are slightly going in a different direction in regards to fluid tip sizes, I find that people over here are starting with 1.3’s and moving down to 1.2 fluid tips , especially with uhs clears, some find the smaller droplet size leaves a smoother look and feel to the clear and also reduces the chances of solvent pop during the bake cycle.

    I always used a 1.4 in the 3000rp 😛
