i got a 4000Rp two days ago, but i didnt get the cup, it came with an RPS sample, i was wondering if the 3000 cups fit the new 4000 or would i have to buy one specifically for the 4000?

i got it for a pretty good price so i said why not add it to my collection

Any sata cup with the quick connect fitting will work for you,you can buy them brand new from a sata dealer or on ebay.It ticks me off that sata started doing that, they used to give the 1L aluminum cup out with all of there guns, another way to save a buck I guess :wak

o ok, i will look around, my local paint store hasnt seen a sata rep in years so he has to special order them, he priced me the 4000RP for $87x.00 before 10% discount. so i looked on ebay, and found same model for $575. i havent had any luck with the cup tho. abtm has the cup for $77 think so i might just go with them.

Someone on this forum might have a cup to sell you, lots of SATA users on here. Maybe just wait and see…

Maybe, I’ll look around and see what I find, if not I could ask someone on here but I don’t know how that would work out with the payment etc.

I’d be happy to trade away a cup.

You guys really use cups still? I thought the whole world switched to PPS or similar? I went disposable and never looked back.

I can’t afford the disposable cup systems. I’m barely starting off, and only 19. They are nice tho, I didn’t really like the RPS system from sata, it seems the other systems are a bitt easier to use.

Yes I still use the aluminum cups for sealer and clear and the disposable cups for waterborne base coat.

    :agree :nothingtoad

To use the PPS for clear and sealer is a waste of money IMO
