Just got back from sema. I was in the sata booth and the rep said the 4000’s are avail and are being shipped out to the warehouses this week.
Also on another note, while i was there i found this paint gun co, cant remember the name but the gun was heated. It actually got very warm. Its supposed to heat up waterborne base to help ot flash faster. Any of you guys ever hear or use such a thing? Your thoughts?
havent herd of the gun that heats up, but how did it get warm? power supply? chemically like a chemical reaction when air passes through it? i was at a fusor clinic a month and half ago and there was a compressed air heater that gets hooked up to the compressor and its supposed to heat the air so the paint flashes quicker. the company said theyd set it up in your shop for a week so u can try it for yourself and they have several differnt models for higher cfm

November 8, 2010 at 6:00 am #25056I know Walcom makes a dessicant air filter/ dryer that heats the air (TD3), but never heard of a gun that heats up. I bet that isn’t cheap

November 8, 2010 at 7:33 pm #25063The gun had one of those small vortex things on it like the ones 3m has to cool the air going into your mask. This one just worked in reverse. The gun got really warm felt like i was holding a cup of coffee. Man i cant remember the company name. It was three letters and started with an A. Gun body was black and composite i think.
that gun would be an Asturo IDEA or FI HPS made by ANI of Italy part of the Walmec corperation who also make Walcom guns this is the youtube link to see it in operation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gm7WcPbEviM
