Scrap Metal takin a dive

I was posting here about 6 months ago how great it was to do your own scrap metal for a quick extra few hundred / load. The gravy train seems to have stopped. I guess with the economy going for a crap, metal prices are going with it. A haul that brought me $300 a few months ago only brought me in about $30 this time. That’s quite a difference!

it was over $300 a ton 6 months ago. the scrap guy stopped by last wekk. its down to $25 a ton
same in the UK 3 months ago we were getting approx $240.00 in your money per scrap car
we are now getting $60.00 in your money per car
Hey scrap really took a dive,I believe here in South Carolina its about 2.80 a hundred down along way from 11.30 a hundred.
yep went from 8.95 a 100 to 4.00 a 100 in 1 day
