Howdy,
Could some of you pros educate me a bit on Sealers? Last time I painted the Suzuki bike I used DP40
reduced as a sealer, is this a good general Sealer that I can use or does PPG or U-POL has some better
dedicated Sealers? I can only get PPG or U-POL products here.Dag

July 29, 2012 at 3:25 am #37737dp40 is an exelent sealer with a great rust inhibitor. Just make sure to follow instrucions correctly as to the activators use with it. one activator requires to mix and wait 30 minutes befor applying.

If I use the DP40 as a sealer would it fill sanding scratches, if so up to what grit?
Or should I always finish with 400 for SS or 600 for B/C?Dag
August 2, 2012 at 6:23 am #37757It depends, I use ppgs enviro sealer on a daily basis. It lays down nice and flat it will fill 320 da easly. The dp can also be used the like the way u have. But as for how deep of a scratch it will fill I don’t remember. I want to say 220-320. You could always go to their website and get the info on it. How ever if you sand the dp you will have to put another coat of it on before painting.
