Sikkens 250 superior 2 pack

How many of you guys are using this clear, what are your opinions on it? The slow I don’t mind , definitely like using the. Superior 250 better than the 2 pack , I have a hard time getting it to look really flat, using a 3000 rp 1.3 @ 40 psi. Always seems to look somewhat peely no matter what I do … I honestly like DuPont multi panel clear so much better than any sikkens clear and it is the cheaper DuPont clear and It lays out so nice and flat just y 2 cents
40psi Holy crap thats lots :blink: I have been using it for over a year since they quit making the 3 pack.I guess everyone is different but I find it easier to spray than the 3pack,lays out nice for me.
i find most of sikkens clears to lay out better than any other clears i have ever used. superior 250, hs+ and autoclear pc are all awesome. the superior is just a nightmare if you have to sand and buff it. as jayson said 40 psi is alot. i shoot all those clears with the same gun as you but with a 1.4 and i am running it at 30 psi.
I turned the pressure down to 35 today and it layerd out better, not used to using sikkens clear for a while, where you can hose the shit out of it and it still holds it’s gloss nice, do either of you guys still use hs+ lv? I didn’t mind that stuff at all when was using it a few years ago… Can you still get it?
You can still get HS+LV but I think only in 2pack.I never used it before so I can’t comment on it.I spray 2 pack superior with my 1.4 rp or 5000 rp between 30-35 psi wide open everything about 4″ from the surface 75% overlap moving at a good pace.The first coat us medium wet,second coat I move slower and really put it on nice.HTH
