Hey guy, our shop is looking at switching product lines from sherwin Williams to either DuPont cromax or sikkens. I have used the cromax before and really liked it, but I have never sprayed any sikkens besides there clear, I like the clear and the way it sprays and it seems to get really hard and I would be concerned about polishing if it sat to long.

So any info on the sikkens and how it would compare to DuPont production wise and what not would be awesome thanks

If you pm ryan999 he has sprayed cromax for a few years and can give you an honest review.I have sprayed sikkens autowave for over 4 years and love it,color matches are incredible and so is the clear.Farecla has some polishes that work on superior, buffing is not a big deal.

Yea, the sikkens rep told us we should polish the superior clear within 24 hours and to start with a wool pad. We also tried there fast clear, I painted a mini van hatch in out cross flow and I cleared the panel at 2pm and was polishing it at 4, I couldn’t believe how hard it was I could barely put a fingernail mark into it let alone a finger print it. But I was having to sand for quite awhile to cut the nibs, the rep always had me final wipe te fresh clear before I started sanding it
