So since I was moving the server I figured I’d better just do the other upgrade and get it all out of the way. Looking for feedback and finalize my things to do list. Things I’ll be doing soon:
Fixing the latest posts on the homepage (does a funky slide thing I find very annoying)
Get a Submit Button for the Shoutbox
Review the forum categories
Setting up new moderator accounts
Restoring Shop Directory
Change activity screen to link to the last post rather then first & shrink the height
Customize the profile fields
Simplify the Facebook Login
Restore Forum header tabsThe site unfortunately had to be redesigned, it wasn’t a simple copy/paste upgrade. I hope users are noticing better loading speeds as that was what prompted the upgrade, several emails,pm’s..etc about it. I’m pretty content with the layout, if anyone has any suggestions throw them out there and I’ll see what can be done. My goal is to have a professional look that’s simple to use. Thx for your patience all!
Everything looks good to me.
Don’t really care for the forum side bar on the right side always bouncing around, expanding and contracting and what not. Also I’m not too sure how the back end interface for the joomsocial looks, but maybe you could bold the text links in the community news.
So that it says something more along the lines of:
” User has posted a new topic in Forum ”Rather than all the same text. just so that lazy people like me don’t have to read the whole thing to see what topic it is.
Also not sure if you can change how much information is provided on the community news? Like avatar changes and what not might bump some more important forum questions off the main page list.
Other than that. everything looks good, and is working good for me.
Seems like the right side recent posts seem to run all over each other when you put the cursor on the avatars…..frustrating at times…. maybe spread them out a bit… thanks Justin
P.S. having to scroll left to right is a booger to me…and when i reply i have to scroll down…just sayin…
Sounds like ratstang huh….got your back rat..HAHAHA!!
March 2, 2011 at 7:10 am #28973it would be nice to see the topics that are being responded to in one color and who responed in another.
and i like the box at the bottom to let you know who was on the vent. and when i log on it jumps to my profile page i would just rather it jump to the home page. - AuthorPosts
