US Chem have thes aerosol cans called Spraymax. they come in a large variety of pre-filled cans used for all the different paints. even water born and 2 part clears.

i wanted to try this out so after i confirmed with the paint store employee about a dozen times i bought a pint of PPG water base from them and waited while he fill it in to 4 Spraymax cans (on site as you waint). for clear i asked for the cheapest one wich was a omni 262 and filled in to 3 spraymax cans. went home, sprayed all the material and had color match problems and other sfuff, did a quick search online and found this spray max compatability chart.

the ppg enviro base was supposed to be put in the water born can. he filled mine in to the 1k can. and the omni clear isnt even on the list.

total waste of time, money, and its going to require a lot more labor to prep and re-spray it now. you guys think im entittled to atleast replacement of the paint and even possibly the materials that i bought at that store?

im a student and get 25 percent off at that paint supply store. what do you guys think? heres the compatiablity like from spray max. it has a complete list of compatable paint and type of aerosol used.

You can try but don’t know if you will have much luck. Just be nice when you talk to the guy and try to meet in the middle maybe. I know I will bend over backwards for someone who is polite and reasonable.

Do you not have a spraygun? You do know per oz the cost of the spraycans is higher than anything else.

they probably would for a shop. but for a walk in guy i wouldnt force it. just talk to the guy who sold it to you and let him know what happened. he might give you some stuff that works, especially if you go in there a lot.

I know what you guys mean. and im not mad or anything and im not going to go in there demanding stuff. im gona be very polite and just explain everything. however in the event that they dont compensate me somehow, im gona have to do something about it. cant just let it ride. i feel that its 100 percent there fault. i asked him like 5 times, ” are you sure you can put Envirobase in the Spraymax aerosol? and he kept sayin yes yes! so i bought it went home and used it and now my paint is de-laming at the base coat. i looked it up and he used the wrong cans. i mean common, what you guys dont agree? BTW the enviorobase and the cans were purchased there, so he should know the products
