Just wondering if anyone has ever seen one of these that actually gives descent results. I was looking at the spectrachrome – http://www.sprayonchrome.com and just got me wondering about it.
I know these guys http://www.powdercoatingunlimited.com/ they tried to offer it or similar product but after exhausting experimentation and big $$$$ spent like joe says it just wasnt always the desired look of real chrome so they gave up.
Wow neat stuff Jimmo
Kinda expensive to get into though
Can you paint over the stuff?
Or do you paint stuff first then mask and applied there system?Very cool I would like to try the stuff but I be a poor white boy.
That’s actually how they make real Mirrors isn’t it?
i use a product called mira chrome for airbrushing for larger stuff its tricky to use due to overspray very slow light coats is the trick i have painted a gsxr in this and turned out brill not sure if you can get it in the states though
found a few vids for you

June 26, 2009 at 3:49 pm #14793I have used a good amount of chrome paints.. as already stated, most of the time its going to look like aluminum.. or polished stainless.. I have never gotten it to keep that chrome look once you apply a 2k clear over it.. Now dont get me wrong it looks waaaaay better than silver you see racers put on their bumpers, however it still does not look 100% like chrome either.. Just the way it is
I use the MotoChrome and Moto Speed clear as you have to use their intercoat or you are just wasting your time..
Also the longer you let the stuff flash the better.. Im talking like 24 hours flash time boys.. NOt hours
