Just wandering if anyone knew where to get state info on this industry. I know that most are on each individual state’s gov page, but there is a lot of info… thought somebody might have some short cuts or some direct links.

I have some for my state, but still need lots more.

Any info would be greatly appreiated!B)

Ya i know your pain. your state association should be able to make it easier.

what state are you in and what type of info are you looking for exactly? Sometimes you just have to do the research

I’m in Georgia, and just to start with, I would like the rules or laws that tell the basic parameters of the collision repair from the vehicle owner’s perspective. Some insurance law also.
Also, who to contact for different situations involving conflict of interests… you know the ‘crap’ that has so easily muddied the waters for this industry.
My state’s association is very vague, but I am still persuing that route.

I suppose that is it in a nutshell, I could elaborate, but space is limited.

What exactly are you looking for?

    What I’m looking for is,
1.) Who has control of the type of parts(OEM-A/M) that are replaced on a claim.

2.) Does the consumer have any rights concerning OEM warranty issues.

3.) Who should I contact to raise concerns of any kind.

4.) Are shops in my state required to be “licensed”?

5.) Is Georgia the same as Alabama as far as negotiating claims and being attorney?

    That’s just some examples…
