I’m looking into stocking up on some body hardware for my shop. Just wondering where you guys buy from. I would like to get an assortment that has the popular clips and fasteners for newer vehicles arranged in some sort of bin or cabinet. Also what price am I looking at for something like that. Currently i just order OEM hardware per job, but the job always seems to get held up because I’m a clip or two short. I figure by stocking some clips at the very least will help improve cycle time.
I’m not sure where you are, but the best place to get it from is a fastener supplier like Wurth. THey will set you up with an assortment (based on your needs) and keep you stocked. They also supply other products as well.
Around here there is a company Called Wheel In Motion supply, they are like Wurth, but with better service.

I had a Civic come in and the front bumper was held on with a drywall screw, screwed into the inch of Bondo on the fender. And that was the better part of the repair.

Anyway, fasteners are well worth the price. I haven’t heard of many of these places.
I would highly recommend the Gripper System by PDQ. The cabinet is free, their prices are great and the cabinet hangs on the wall. A full starter kit runs around $350 with free cabinet at http://www.autobodysupplies.com. Wurth is crazy expensive!

That works fine on Black cars, but what about the white ones?
