Hello all,
I’ll start w/ an introduction, My name is Jeremy I am 40 yrs. old & I live in Texas (just south of Dallas). Been doing paint n body work for about 22 years, Owned my own small shop now for the last 15 yrs.
Still learn something new everyday. Anyway for my first post I’d like to get a little input on some of the new paint guns available. I currently have three Sata guns, 1 for primer w/ 2.0 tip , an NR95, and an NR2000 both of those w/ 1.4 tips. I love them & they work great but….I guess the only complaint or problem that may be gun related I have is mottling on some silvers and variations of silver met/pearls. I can get to go away but I’m thinking it shouldn’t be as difficult as it is. I’ve been using PPG dbc base and Martin senor pro base and several others, for the most part all of them seem to the same. could I get a little input on what might be a better choice for shooting met base coats with less cross / drop coating passes. my shooting style is close and fast for most things but I tend to pull back on these colors to keep it even. any input is greatly appreciated.
just for hoots I’m putting on a couple of pics of a 68 Camaro I just finishedAttachments:March 31, 2014 at 5:55 am #46227:welc
Nice work on the 68.
Hard to go wrong with the Sata’s. Lots of guys here are getting good results with the Tekna.
