One of the new products at SEMA this year was a guy was making TPO sprayout cards.
You know for those pesky plastics that change color.
I have a few and going to do a test and see what kind of color difference between metal vs. plastic.

sounds interesting, I’ve had many conversations on the subject but haven’t seen a side by side comparison like that. looking forward to seeing the results.

You would think that the primer should “shield” any texture or whatever it is on the substrate from being a problem.

According to my jobber, some of the comparison sprayouts were pretty drastic.
The cards I have are very thin and looks like a primer coat on one side. I will have to confirm that.
What I may do is cut up some actual bumper covers and use those too. Just curious if the thickness of the TPO makes a difference.

This is interesting I would definitialy buy these. My experience has showed me that plastic tends to lighten the color up. some colors more than others.

I like to cut the corner off the old bumper, paint it real quick with the color I like then place back up on the car to check the color, before I paint the new cover…
