I bought me a new LPH400 a few days and I got a chance to use it today. All I can say is, WOW! I love it. I cant believe that I did all the other paint jobs with out it. All I did today was lay the base and tomorrow I will apply the clear coat.
I cant wait to check it out. 🙂

Sorry guys I wouldn’t use a tekna to paint a fence!

Mocoke won that tekna off this very site! He better love that thing 😉 Im sure it works well for him. I would have loved to win it just to have it even though it most likely wouldnt be my go to gun. Im glad that it went to a guy that realy likes it. 😛

I’ve sprayed one at the dupont center and really liked it. I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews with the Tekna, seems to be love it or hate it…no in-between!

I love my Iwata for clear, but don’t care abut it for base.
My cheaper Astro does base a lot better and easier,
    especially silvers.
I’ve read on other forums a lot of people feeling the same way.
It’s just not known for being good at base.
Bondoking cramks his up to about 25 psi to get base right with it.

I’ve only got a sample of one with my LPH-400, but for base it was very easy to use. Sure my pearl didn’t lay perfectly, but it was very hard to do and it was a first time for me. Clear was silly easy to shot with this gun, such a soft spray feeling. I had to ditch the descicant snake to get the volume back that the gun needs, but really – it did a wonderful job.

    I still like this shot:

I’ve never layed any paint that smooth before.

I agree with you Canuck, my base laid out really smooth also. This is after the base coat has dried and it had a nice shine to it.
