    Hey, anyone here shot utec 3.5? I was told this can be used as a one coat system. I have shot the 3.8 before and was real happy with the results didn’t know how the 3.5 compared to it.

    Our shop has just started using it since 3.8 is now to high voc for our area.3.5 is very nice,but you have to use accelerator in it you don’t have a bake cycle.It is a little slower to dry,and you need to wait about 5-10 mins between coats.Works better with 2 medium wet coats.

    So given a choice which would you rather use? My jobber was telling me that you can use this like a 1 1/2 coat system, half trigger first coat then immediately follow up with a full coat. We are supposed to get some box trucks in at work and I was thinking if this was true it could save my arm. But if it is better to use two full coats I might just stick with the 3.8
