Trying to get some opinions on Valspar Clearcoats. Supposed to be trying out a gal on a few jobs tomorrow AC200MS. Its a 4-1 MS Clear. I tryed some of the Z9000 speed clear last week on a few bumper jobs and single panel jobs. I think that it worked out nice but I was wanting to try out something that could be used on bigger jobs. I am using Lesonal universal right now, I like it but I find that it is a little finiky without enough airflow. I have looked at the TDS and it really doesnt go into any great detail about anything and I dont really know anyone who has sprayed alot of it.

    Thanks

    AC4400 is really nice.

I’m not sure they still make it.

What about Lesonal Glamour clear? Great for large jobs.

I went in and sprayed a roof skin today with it. It really seemed to handle nice, sprayed easy and had about factory peel to it. Kinda slow flash times even with fast activator took about 15 minutes between coats. I havent tried the Lesonal Glamor clear. I might try that on my truck when it comes time to paint it.I needed a good air dry clear that you dont have to leave the fans on forever once you walk out of the booth that buffs well, I am happy with the Valspar so far. I will try a few gallons this week and see what I come up with. The z9000 speed clear did really well, seemed pretty hard to run and it buffed nice the morning after. But I went back and buffed a hood that was painted a week before and it was hard as a rock, hardest thing that I have had to buff in quite awhile. I will see if I can get a few pics.

Geez Mo you liked something somebody recomended…..imagine that!!!! Ec 500 is deffinitly a great deal. Cheaper by far than Ac 4400… but is super slow if you let it air dry. Its still soft after 16 hours at 70 degrees.
