I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if ratstang is still using the sharpe sgf98 hvlp for base, was looking to get one myself as I’m in need of a basecoat gun and I can get one for a great price. Can u please give me your experience with this gun. Thanks

Well I actually picked up two sgf98 guns brand new one is a 1.5 hvlp and the other 1.2 non hvlp. Got them for 100 bucks a piece, looking forward to giving them a go this week at work.
sealer: sata jet 90 with rp 1.4
wb base: tekena 1.3,1.4, iwata lph400 1.3 orange air cap sata 3000 or 4000 hvlp 1.4hc
clear: iwata w400lv4 1.4, iwata supernova Ls400 1.4 silver aircap, sata 4000 rp 1.3
