Wheel well rust repair panels, any success?

Hello, instead of just packing the holes above my wheel wells with Bondo I see I can get the rust repair panels that go above my wheel wells for my 02 Dakota for under $100 for the pair. I have never used these. Are they difficult to put on? I see many trucks on the road that looked like people bought them, riveted them on, then never completed their repair. Just curious as I have never attempted to install one of these rust repair panels. Thanks as always! Jack

Pics of your arches might help. If your a competent welder then decent quality arch repairs are not to bad to fit you may need to carry out repairs to the inner arch aswell when outer has been cut off.
I concur I do this type of repair daily careful measuring is the key and small welds so not to warp the panels there are some great bids on YouTube
there’s a guy who sections in a lower quarter on a gold nova that is vary good
