My opinion sata is the best for base coat. Iwata seems to put the clear on nice and flat :rock

I have a SATA 3000 RP for base and clear and it’s great. I’ve done demos on both the 4000rp and the Supernova with + without the hybrid tip. Both guns were great in their own way. Really either way your getting a great gun it really comes down to what the user likes

it’s all personal preference. I like my iwata for base because it is slower and doesn’t put the base on as wet, which helps me keep a cleaner job in my makeshift booth (crap in the b/c). I like my sata for clear, because I like to get it on fast and wet.

I will say that the satas are more solid built guns.

    Iwatas are great……
I use them to prop the booth door open. I jam em in there real good like, and the doors don’t close no more when I pull cars out.
    :rofl

Seriously though, we throw them at the stray pigeons around the shop.

    BTW I like SATA….

I have large hands, and the Sata’s just fit my hands better.
