    a donor from a salvage yard would be my 1st choice, then aftermarket, then fabricating out of sheet metal.

    either weld up the holes or cut some patch panels out of sheet metal and weld in depending on size of hole. If they’re rust holes, you should cut out as much of the metal as you can.

    This was the 1st car I ever painted. Used a craftsman gun. not sure which model.

    thanks again for the replies. Good looking Z Jason. My plans for this one is a factory appearing paint job. it’s going to be rally green. Looks like I’m going to cut in the jambs, trunk channel, and cowl area then hang the front sheet metal and spray the car as a whole. This will be my second metallic green paint job. 1st was a frost green on my 64 chevy II.

    thanks for the response. I’m doing a full nut and bolt resto…. full 1/4’s, trunk pan, trunk drop offs, floor pan, front sheet metal etc.

    Update: was able to adjust door in and out at the door side of the hinge which fixed the problem. door gaps are good and no shims used…
