I blended the clear behind the plate. While not the recommended method it is common in the mobile world.

The hot stapler is coming soon. Just heard yesterday. I have been working on my own. Need to perfect the staples and it should be good to go.

Keystone had one for 110 but for my customers they want it done yesterday. No time to wait. Besides, I used a lot less paint and had it done in matter of hours not days.

    Thanks for your comments.

I do mobile repair for dealerships. So, all of my work is outside. If anyone is curious, I have received an exemption from the 6H ruling.

Yes,I did the work outside. Air temp was in the low to mid 40’s. And, it was a front side repair. The mesh adds a lot of strength. FYI, I use a grease splatter screen instead of buying the “special” screen.

I do cracks too. This is on an 06 Accord. I melted wire mesh around the whole thing then used fiberflex then epoxy filler to finish it off. It was a 42in crack.

As a note from the mobile world where back side repairs aren’t done,:hunt. On a crack like that, you could just get it really hot and smear it onto itself so you are using the same material. Or, melt mesh, I use grease splatter screen then do your repair. Good job on drilling out the end of the crack too. You can also drill holes around the crack to get your filler keyed in more spots. That will help.

I did just a front side repair on a 10in crack with just epoxy a couple months ago and had to redo it this week. I will get out my welder from now on. These type of repairs are a lot more tricky then people think. That is why bodyshops prefer buying new ones.

I had someone tell me to ditch the ADPRO and get a torch instead and flame the plastic to increase adhesion. They said that the promoter was causing a weak link. If you ask 10 people the same question you often will get 12 different answers.

How did you pull all that damage out? How are you liking the NOMIX? Is it as hard to mix the color as I was told?

    As always, great work.

Sometimes those seemingly small things are the hardest do to because you are need to keep it isolated instead of hosing the whole thing. Where are you located?
