good job on the repair,i had fix my own bumper this way 2 years ago and have hit huge dips with my bumper many times with out even a single spider crack. It will hold up, for what equiptment that we can get our hands on, it’s a good alternative. good stuff nex:rock
very true on what everyone is saying, I’ve seen some work done on 400grit and still left some scratches. I normally finish mines with anywhere between 400-800 grit. Depending sometimes on some paint as well, I’ve had some old paint laying around that were a little over reduce that still had some scratches that were visible even when cleared.
i think the brand was dyna clear coat, ill have to check the tin to get a more correct description.but from what i remember it was a gloss clear coat.standard stuff.
if it’s the dynatone clear, i’ve had the same problem with their high build surfacer primer as well. it would lift and wouldn’t bond well. I’ve never had experience with their clear but i would be contemplating trying other products from them….welcome, i am also from san diego and just joined not to long ago but this seems to be my very first post!. where locally do you get your products? tcp global? i’ve got most of my stuff from kearny mesa auto paint supplies, memo is a really nice fellow and helped me out a lot with the painting questions as i am fairly new as well.
