Try these hok bases for silver they are smaller flake size than Bco2.Which means they will be easier for you to make look better. Pbc 42,pbc49. and Fbc02. I would give you other brands but there gonna be way more expensive.HoK is as cheap as i go. I use cheap clears some times but never cheap bases.

Hello. I have used and use HOK. Good product if you know how to use it. Its old school type bc/cc. Strong and glossy and cheap. The deal is you want to use the whole system to be sure you dont have any issues. Make sure to follow the tech sheets for each product. You can download the pdf tech book at hok.com. Orion silver is very touchy. You need to have perfect gun control. And on your last coat mix 2 to 1 1/2. And raise up or lower you psi over booth. Whatever you have to do to achieve orientation. There new clear usco1 is the easiest to spray IMHO,and seems to be the cheapest.Uc 35 is there main clear. Also good, but harder to spray, not that its hard to spray. Just dont pound there clear on and watch flash times and it will be great. Good luck.

Yep…black bits are from the air line….but…..Some say use a cheap hose an wait years. or they have never seen the black bits?Which in return i would say that they are blind or don’t care. Ruber only last so long and can not get pounded with heat . it breaks down gets brittle and comes apart. So if your not changing your hose and using a high solids clear then most of the time they will just get covered with enough clear and you won’t see them…If you don’t buff your on stuff then you will never see it. No detailer is gonna complain because he dosnt want his head bit off.

Yes. You need to use a Non-gasing hose. I would recomend the Permoflex from Sata! They run at 75 bucks. Change hose when you start getting liile blacks hairs or black chunks. They usually last 6 months to a year if you dont bake them.So make a quick detach and when your done spraying take the hose with you.

Well your using the best clear on the market hands down.Whether your talking about Superior or the two pack version. However you set your gun up to spray the best for you is what you want. You can do anything you want with this clear! Except make it look bad. Its extremely high solds. I think its higher than any other on the market period.Except for silken Vision clear. Which is what 250 was made from,at least that’s is what i was told. Some people say 250 is 70% or high 60’s Sold content by volume. I have gotten over 2.0 mills dft with two passes with a 1.2 used as a one visit application. Most of the time i used a 1.3. Some people use a 1.4. Its funny you ask for a gun setup for this clear….i don’t think it matters. You could use a primer gun or a 10 dollar gun and i think it would look better than most. just my opinion. Awe how i miss Silkens!

Just wait 2 weeks and the standoblue and the 2k hs premium will tighten up and dull out…i demoed it also and painted about 10 to 15 cars with a rep and thought it was really nice as well until customers started coming back and saying there cars turned dull…….just my experience….

Geez Mo you liked something somebody recomended…..imagine that!!!! Ec 500 is deffinitly a great deal. Cheaper by far than Ac 4400… but is super slow if you let it air dry. Its still soft after 16 hours at 70 degrees.

Hello, the answer to your question is yes. Lesonal is 100% compatible with Sikkens. You can use abp over or under any Lesonal product. Universal clear is like ac 3 or close to it. Glamour clear is Lesonals best clear imho. With a 10% discount it cost around 365.00 for a whole kit which makes about 1 1/2 sprayable. But its a slower clear. There is also air pro which i don’t like. Good luck. 😛

HoK clears are super easy to spray and lay flat or flater than anything else. They range from 30% to 41% solids. They can have really long recoat windows 30 to 45 min with the 151 hardner at nominal temp(78°).Like every thing else its the painter. Red Baron should chime in he used to work for Hok.

Hello, i don’t have anymore 123 reducer but i do have the generation after that. Autobase reducer+at agent. it replaced 123 for voc requirements. i think i have a gallon of slow and a half gallon of med. plus a gallon of at agent. You can have them….just pay for shipping, which won’t be cheap. plus i have hundreds of left over mixed colors. Autobase being polyester based i don’t know how good it will be for air brushing if you do any. Always seemed to suck for that purpose, because of the additives in the sikkens reducer. When you reduce real thin it always seemed to be sticky. With or without the at agent. Even days later.

The 3/16 throw is for all paint work. All it does is help not make little swirl sand scratches. Da’s with this shorter throw are said to be painters da’s. So you say you want a glass surfaces and your not gonna use a da to color sand…. I guess you better learn how to block wet sand really good then. Do you know what color sand means? Just a question. I’m not a confronting you.

Hello, i have used hi tech in the states. Well i demoed it and an went to training on it anyway. I didn’t find it that much different than the first generation but i didn’t use that much. I know alot of people here like spies clear but i didn’t find anything special about any of there products i used even 8150. Thought Standox version is better and i like there clears better. Its not sikkens 250 two pack or superior. Also if you need more coverage than one and a half coats it dosnt look as good. Again i havnt used that much of it.This is just my opinion with the little i did use.
