Why on earth would you want a 1.3wsb Rp for clear? That tip is designed for waterborne basecoat not clear, get a regular 1.3 or 1.4 RP 4000 for clear.
shit hey, jobber made it sound like the wsb tip was good for the waterborne paint and the new clears, I’ll get that fixed up monday, thanks Jayson:compsmash

Hey nice write up lild, I to have got the 4000hvlp and have the same conclusion, it has a really large fan pattern but for the clear I find it to be really slow, Im also shooting envirobase. Oh Im spraying out of a 1.3 tip, got a 4000rp with a 1.3wsb tip on the way for a clear gun:cheers
both guns i had have a 1.3 tip. but for clear i use a 1.3 sata rp. i don’t like hvlp’s for clearing for the same reason you stated. if i was you, get a rp or non hvlp gun for clearing, you would be much happier.
Ya Lild I got a 4000rp 1.3wsb on order:cheers

Candyman Im not sure if AL is italian but he’s probably 6’3″ 300lbs if that helps lol.

Why shouldnt the painter get free material, I asked the jobber for our shop to see if he would score me some paint for my own vehicle and he helped me out with 1.5L of base, whats wrong with that?

Al from Chase has hooked myself and another guy from a shop I worked at with free paint, didnt seem to be a problem. Just straight out ask him to help you out with some paint for your own car
