Best bet is to if you can slice a bit off the existing plastics so you know you have the same type, create a v channel at the site of the crack, you can just use a heat gun to melt the plastic strip into the v groove, have done this lots of time and has always held, the secret is to always have the same type of plastic.

Chris.Hey had this issue in my transit van, ended up pulling it off and like half the glass came off with it, at the moment I have a piece of duct tape over it, but will need the screen replaced at some time, but there is also a big crack on the left hand side so should have it done anyway. Try the acetone, I know the glue they use to stick them on is super strong so be careful..

Chris.Hey Man Nice work, I have an Ibanez RG570 that I want to restore, is sunburst red at the moment but will be going a nice metallic blue, did you use any filler to fill any chips etc, I have a few that I want to fill, I have owned it since 1991 so it is my baby but is time for a resto… Demarzio pickups, edge tremolo etc, I will sandblast the tremolo etc as it has some rust bubbles on it and repaint.
