    yes do a drop coat on all metalics, you should be fine with the 020 and the 002. the 040 and 004 are for those really dry hot days. humidity plays a huge part in drying.

    could also be where it was not sanded good the first time. iv done some bumpers that these lot repair guys have done. sometimes the clear will bust it if they did not sand it good in the first place. looks like that may be what happened especially under the molding. just a thought.

    ive been spraying onyx for almost a year now. i started with a 3000 hvlp but since then i have bought two new iwatas. i have the purple cap for hard colors and the orange for most anything else. i just use the 3000 for solids now. all are 1.3 heads. with the purple cap you really have to slow down but it sprays nice. i wasnt so sure about the water at first but its really become easy and the color match is great!
