hey. a its sikkens autoclear reduced 10%. yea i put on 2 good heavy coats i let the first coat dry for 20 mins before the 2nd. i left 3 coats of base over nite and then put 2 more coats on and dried it fully the weird ting is that i skotched it yesterday to get it ready for painting and today its not as dull id say if i hadnt skotched it it would look grand today! pity i sanded a few bits of dirt and tings i kinda have to it paint now! even on the bumper the solvent pop settled down. i had to prim the bits i scratched on the bumper as it would not feather back. the paint is wet under the clear even do i fully dried it. strange. il paint it again dis evening and il get a heater.

hey thanks for the reply. ya im going at it today now i will skotch it all and clear it again. except the top of the bumper where the paint came through the clear! could it be that the wb paint froze before i got to dry it? because the places i didnt paint i just clear’ed they were grand noting sunk.

hey thanks for the advice. I have a 3HP 200,l comp sometimes the pressure drops but rarely. yea that’s were i was going wrong i had the fluid tip wide open and the fan was open a good bit too. i wish i read your post earlier im after painting 2 doors and got very heavy looking orange peal and a run!! is it possible to get a very light finish like you would see on a lexus/ toyota with my gun and sikkens clear? i love that type of finish. way more than a fully flat finish! thanks again for the advice il try that set up next time. i don’t mind getting a run but its a kick in the balls getting orange peal with it!
